Discussion Forums and E-mail Lists

There are several forums and e-mail lists (hosted at the sourceforge website -thanks guys!) which are publicly available. Please keep content on-topic, as far as possible.

If you are wanting help with some problem, note that it may be well worth searching the forums (use the search box on this page), or the e-mail list archives, before posting to the Help forum/list.

If you want to keep up to date with changes in OroborOSX, I strongly urge you to subscribe to the OroborOSX-Announce list. It is very low traffic (usually less than one e-mail per month), primarily for announcing new releases, or any very unusual bugs or issues (such as change of website address, should that happen!)

Forums: the forums are available through a web-based interface...

  • Help - This is the place to request help if you have problems using OroborOSX

  • Feature Requests - This is the place to plea for new features in OroborOSX, and for others to add weight by agreeing (or to refine the suggestion, or even to disagree violently ;-)

  • Open Discussion - If it is not a plea for help, and it is not a feature request, then discuss it here.

E-mail Lists: these lists are arranged with the same overall headings as the above forums. However, there is also an extra "announce" list which is reserved for important announcements, such as new versions or major bugs. If you use OroborOSX, I urge you to join this list (it will be very low traffic)...
